The suit, the uniform, military green and loden, all reinterpreted by Dior Homme for Fall/Winter 2012, and all inspiring Shadow, the film by Willy Vandeperre shot in New York’s Wall Street District.
A man tackles his day. He moves with an air of decisiveness. All of a sudden, the wind gets up and the light splutters. His days are endless battles from which he re-emerges at nightfall. On the soundtrack, Manhattan has changed, the decor evokes an opening night. The image passes from color to black and white, from bright light to murky mystery. A dove surges at the screen, simultaneously suggesting the final looks in the show with their all-over wing embroideries. Reinterpretations of the camouflage motif, these meticulous applications testify to the irrepressibly luxurious character of this Dior Homme collection. They also serve to underline that same assertive elegance expressed in Shadow.
